Laurel Glen Vineyard produces two wines, both 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon: Laurel Glen Vineyard and Laurel Glen Counterpoint.
Since its inception in 1981, Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has received international acclaim for its exceptional balance, elegance and ability to age gracefully. In 1986, Laurel Glen Counterpoint Cabernet Sauvignon was created, as a more appropriate expression of the vineyard lots which display more forward fruit and softer tannins.
The longevity of Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet was demonstrated at a tasting in February 2011 of all vintages between 1981 and 2007. Three vintages from the 1980's were voted among the top ten by the 7 prominent sommeliers and 3 experienced wine writers present. Master Sommelier Larry Stone wrote, "from the very beginning to the present day, all the wines show complexity, longevity and classical proportions."
