The Laurel Glen vineyard has a long and
storied past. Originally planted in the late 1880's, Patrick Campbell
bought the property in 1977 and in 1981 produced the 1st vintage of
Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
In 2011, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the first vintage, Patrick Campbell sold the winery to Bettina Sichel. Under her stewardship, Laurel Glen Vineyard will be restored to its former prominence through refinements to the vineyard and the wine. Bettina's team includes viticulturalist Phil Coturri, who will oversee a transition to organic farming, and winemaking consultant David Ramey. Campbell will remain at Laurel Glen Vineyard as a consultant and continue to produce wines from pioneer vineyards in Lodi, California and Mendoza, Argentina under his new company name: Tierra Divina Vineyards.
